We are an established childcare center on the University of Rhode Island campus. We are looking for a full-time teacher assistant Monday-Friday eight and half hours per day. Candidate should want a long-term position and desire to grow within the school. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to collaborating with a lead teacher, following daily routines, engaging in purposeful play, having a positive, upbeat personality, multitasking, high energy, and excellent written and verbal skills.
Candidates must take 24 hours for professional development. (Paid by school) and be CPR First Aid certified or willing to obtain.
Associate’s Degree required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Knowledge and implementation of the Rhode Island Early Standards are a plus.
Experience working in a childcare center is preferred.
Working towards certificates in the early childhood field.
