Position Summary:
Darabi Dermatology is seeking a highly motivated pre-medical or pre-physician assistant (PA) graduate for a Medical Scribe / Clinical Assistant position. This is an ideal gap year job for students applying to medical school or PA school who want meaningful, hands-on clinical experience.
This role provides direct exposure to patient care, dermatologic surgery, and clinical workflows in a fast-paced specialty practice.
Start Date: May 2026
Duration: 12 months minimum required

Core Responsibilities
- Perform medical scribing in electronic medical record (EMA)
- Assist with patient care and clinical documentation
- Room patients and obtain histories
- Assist in dermatologic procedures:
- Skin biopsies
- Excisions
- Mohs micrographic surgery
- Surgical repairs
- Support clinical workflow and patient flow efficiency
- Perform instrument sterilization and specimen handling
- Collaborate with providers, nurses, and medical assistants
Skills & Experience You Will Gain

Schedule & Compensation
Flexible Options: Full-time or Part-time
Clinic Hours:
- Mon, Tue, Thu: 7:30 AM – 4:45 PM
- Wed: 7:00 AM – 4:45 PM
- Fri: 7:30 AM – 2:00 PM
✔ No evenings, weekends, or holidays
Pay Structure:
- $18/hour (first 90 days)
- $20/hour (after 90 days); $2 of $20 paid out at conclusion of 12 month employment agreement
- $22/hour (after 1 year)
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or graduating senior)
- Pre-med or pre-PA track preferred
- Interest in healthcare, dermatology, or surgery
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Commitment to 12 months minimum
