SpencerMcGaw is seeking an Accounting Clerk to support our accounting team and assist with day-to-day office operations. This role is designed for someone looking to gain hands-on experience inside a certified public accounting firm while developing strong operational and client communication skills.
The Accounting Clerk provides administrative and project support to the accounting staff. Responsibilities include assisting with accounting projects, supporting month-end close processes, organizing and managing client documents, handling inbound and outbound client communications, answering phones, tracking tasks, resolving routine issues, and maintaining internal organization.
This position is not a senior accounting role. A basic understanding of accounting principles is required. Training and exposure to real-world accounting processes will be provided. The role requires professionalism, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist accounting staff with ongoing projects and monthly close support
