Lisa Moody
Executive Director
Lisa Moody is an experienced higher education leader with more than 20 years dedicated to advancing student success through strategic, data-informed career development. As Executive Director of the Center for Career Development at Washington College, she provides strategic leadership and administrative oversight for all career programs, services, and operations, including career readiness initiatives, employer and alumni engagement, experiential learning, and post-graduation outcomes reporting.
Since joining Washington College in 2014, Lisa has led progressive leadership roles across employer relations, outreach, and student coaching. She manages signature programs such as First Year Career Awareness Program and SPARK, and advises student organizations including the Black Student Union, African Student Union, and Intervarsity Christian Fellowship.
Previously, Lisa served as Director of Career Services and Student Employment at Delaware State University, where she strengthened employer engagement, career programming, and workforce readiness. Her earlier career includes 16 years in banking and finance, complemented by experience in nonprofit leadership, ministry, and residential real estate.
Lisa holds an MBA from Delaware State University and a BA in Christian Ministry from Chesapeake Bible College and Seminary. She is known for her collaborative leadership and commitment to helping individuals reach their professional and personal potential.

Associate Director
Georgina Bliss serves as the Associate Director of the Career Center and is a certified Gallup CliftonStrengths Coach. She works with students across all appointment types and is especially passionate about helping them design meaningful Life Design plans and pursue purposeful careers. She collaborates extensively with faculty across disciplines to integrate NACE career competencies into the curriculum, connecting academic learning to real-world applications.
Georgina earned her Master of Arts in Leadership Studies from Northern Vermont University/Vermont State in 2022. Her graduate research, “An Analysis of CliftonStrengths Development Education as a Core Element of Higher Education Curriculum,” was presented at the AMA Collegiate Conference, where it earned second place. She is also a proud graduate of the University of Vermont, where she double majored in Romance Languages/French and Political Science (Canadian Politics) with Honors. She holds professional certificates in Digital Marketing (2016) and Dealing with Difficult People (2001).
Georgina spent 30 years as a brand marketing strategist in the New York–based prestige consumer products industry. Her experience includes roles with Estée Lauder International, Guerlain, Inc., Sanofi Beauty, and Davidoff of Geneva, as well as consulting for Veranda, Isadora Story, and Retail Connection LLC.
Since 1998, she has also taught in a wide range of settings and completed formal teaching training through Virginia Theological Seminary.
Fun fact: Georgina’s love of French launched her early career—she used her language skills in international cosmetics marketing.

Penny has dedicated her entire career supporting and guiding students of all ages, first as an elementary school teacher and then as the Associate Director of a children’s summer camp. She is also a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant and was very helpful as a Covid tester for WC during the pandemic.
Penny is the Office Manager in our Career Center and keeps all the programs flowing. If you need anything related to the Career Center, Penny is available from 8:30 – 4:30, Monday – Friday.
Bradley Hirsh
Assistant Director for Employer Relations & Experiential Learning
Brad grew up on the Eastern Shore of Maryland in Kent County and lived there for the first 15 years of his life. He went to Bard College and majored in Languages and Literature with a focus on Literature. While attending Bard, he was elected to serve as the Student Representative on the Faculty Tenure Board and worked in Bard’s Response to Rape and Associated Violence Education (BRAVE). In BRAVE, he worked with other members to educate the Bard community and offer 24 hour support for students that were survivors of sexual violence. Brad was elected chairman of BRAVE for my Junior Year. His Senior Thesis was an exploration the word tragedy in different times and cultures.
After graduating from Bard College, Brad started a career teaching and has been working in the educational field for the past 24 years. He has taught English, History, and Philosophy in the traditional classroom, and taught Environmental Science, History, and Team Building in Outdoor Education. He started his career teaching middle school English, Remedial English, and English as a Second Language in Los Angeles Unified School District. After teaching English in Los Angeles and Reno, he thought he would be classroom teacher for the rest of his career, but he missed the Chesapeake Bay and being outside. With that in mind, he took a job teaching History, Ecology, and Team Building at Echo Hill Outdoor School in Kent County, MD. Since then, he has been involved with Outdoor Education and Experiential Learning in one way or another at a series of jobs at The Swain School in Allentown, PA, Sultana Education Foundation in Chestertown MD, The Gunston School, and now Washington College in the Career Development Office.
